How to Pray

Prayer is an intimate connection with GOD, where we give thanks, seek guidance, and find comfort. Through this intimate conversation, we share our thoughts and emotions, listening for God's whispers of wisdom. As we talk to God, our relationship blossoms, building:

  • Unshakeable trust
  • Spiritual growth
  • Guidance and understanding
  • Reassuring comfort
     

Prayer helps us 'see' and know God, learning to love Him more deeply (1 John 4:20) In this loving communion:

Speak from the Heart when You Talk to GOD

Before Prayer take a moment to: 

 

 

Focus your mind towards Jesus (Hebrews 12:2)

  • Reflect on God's goodness, accredit all to Him (Romans 11:36). 
  • Remember your salvation (1 Peter 2:24)
  • Set your eyes on the faithfulness and promises of God's Word (Joshua 1:8)

 

Letting these thoughts fill your heart with gratitude and trust in His loving care will transform your prayers aligning them with His will.

Seeking Holy's Prayer Approach

1. Adoration (Worship):  

 

Example: "Heavenly Father, I worship You as the all-powerful, all-knowing, and loving God." 
 

 

2. Thanksgiving (Gratitude): 

Example: "Thank You, Father, for Your love, protection, and provision."

 

 

3. Confession (Repentance)

Example: "Lord, I confess my sins and weaknesses. Please forgive me and cleanse me from all unrighteousness."  

 

 

4. Supportive (Praying for Others) 

Example: "Heavenly Father, bless my family and friends. Guide our leaders and bring peace to the world." 

 

5. Heart's Desires (Personal Requests) 

  • Share your personal needs, concerns, and desires according to His will. (Psalm 55:22),(1 John 5:14). Ask God for guidance, wisdom, and strength. (James 1:5)

Example: "Lord, help me with [specific need]. Give me wisdom and strength to overcome [challenge]." 

 

6. Closing (Benediction) 

Example: "In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen. May Your peace and love surround me."
